Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Finance's Legal Secretariat
Do you thrive in an advisory role where you, together with skilled and engaged colleagues, handle interesting legal issues in a political environment? In the varied work at the Ministry of Finance's Legal Secretariat, we can offer you, as a court assessor from the Court of Appeal or Administrative Court, a developing role where you contribute to societal development.
Your Workday. Sweden's Tomorrow
The Legal Secretariat is responsible for drafting proposals for laws and regulations and assists the departmental leadership and the Ministry of Finance's divisions with advice on legal matters. The Legal Secretariat's area of responsibility encompasses all departments of the ministry, except for the Tax and Customs Department and the Financial Markets Department. This means that the secretariat provides legal advice on a large number of issues, including the state budget, digitalization, benefit fraud and incorrect payments of public funds, procurement legislation, gaming regulation, consumer rights, state employer policies, companies with full or partial state ownership, municipal law, loans to other countries, and the state's ownership of real estate.
We are looking for someone who wants to draft legal council memos, bills, and regulations within the Legal Secretariat's area of responsibility. Your tasks will also include conducting legal investigations and providing information and advice on legal matters to other departments within the Ministry of Finance and to the political leadership. You will also have an advisory role and work alongside professional and knowledgeable colleagues, both specialists and individuals with broad experience. The role involves many points of contact and collaboration with other departments in the Ministry of Finance and with other ministries within the Government Offices. You will also participate in some of the department's investigations.
